Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. There were no 15-minute checks for infant in care. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee agrees to immediately implement 15-minute checks while infants 24 months of age or younger sleep.
During initial presence in the home, LPA observed a baby walker in the kitchen/dining room area of the home. Licensee stated it was for her grandchildren, who were in care during todays inspection. Baby walkers are not allowed on the premises of a FCCH. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee agrees to submit a written plan of action and submit to licensing no later than POC due date.
Based on observation during the tour of the outdoor area, LPA observed a 3 foot high pool that was completely full of water. Licensee stated she inflated it at the beginning of August and plans to use it until September 2024. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Immediately, licensee agrees to empty pool and submit pictures to licensing no later than POC due date.
Based on observation, LPA noted a bouncer that has two prongs that clip onto a doorway that infants can bounce and twirl from. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee agrees to submit a written plan of action to take with the clip-on bouncer, and submit to the department no later than the POC due date.
LPAs observed that there were many hand sanitizers and sanitizing wipes stored in on-limit bedroom of the home. There were also expired medication boxes, razors, and personal hygiene items in the on-limits restroom. The kitchen, which is also on-limits contained knives in the basket near the kitchen sink. poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee agrees to send proof of all hazardous items removed from on-limit areas of the home to licensing no later than POC due date.
LPA's arrived at the door and there was an individual smoking right by the front door. LPA was also able to corroborate this by taking pictures of multiple cigarette butts in an ashtray on the table outside the front door. The front door is how the children enter the home. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee agrees to remove ashtray from near the front door and ensure there is no smoking on the premesis. Smoking is a zero-tolerance policy for daycares. Licensee will submit a picture of removal of ashtray.
