Based on analyst observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as licensee did not have an alarm for her pool as required.
Resolution: Licensee states she will purchase a required alarm by 03/02/26 and send analyst a photo and copy of the purchase receipt by 03/02/26 to complete the correction.
Based on analyst observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above she did not have a rescue pole for her swimming pool which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states she will purchase a rescue pole and send analyst a photo of pole installed by the pool and a copy of its documentation by 03/02/26 to correct the deficiency.
Based on analyst observation and record review the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as licensee does not have the required safety equipment and therefore was not maintaining an inspection log for it which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states that upon installation of required pool safety equipment she will start maintaining logs of its review and send analyst proof of logs for the period of 03/02/26 - 03/06/26 by 03/09/26 to correct the deficiency.
Based on analyst record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as she did not have safe sleep logs for children #1 and #2, her two infants in care, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to the children in care.
Resolution: Analyst provided licensee with blank copies of a sample safe sleep log and licensee states she will monitor and document each time the children nap when they attend for the period of 02/18/26 - 02/27/26, and then going forward, and submit a copy of the completed logs to analyst by 03/02/26 to correct the deficiency.
Based on analyst observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as her helper had to go home sick today and left the licensee with eight children, four of whom were infants with no school age children which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states helper will be returning tomorrow and understands that any day helper is not available, she is has to meet the required ratios for a small family child care license and not accept any children that put her over ratio or have another assistant available to meet staff/child ratios. Violation was cited as a type B violation as helper was here majority of the day and licensee was meeting children's needs when analyst was conducting inspection.
Based on analyst observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as she does not a life ring for her swimming pool which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states she will purchase a life ring and send analyst a photo of the ring installed by the pool and a copy of its documentation by 03/02/26 to correct the deficiency.
Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as licensee is not keeping safe sleep logs for infants in care as required which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Analyst provided licensee with a copy of a sample sleep log and provider states she will document infant's napping from this point forward and send analyst a copy of a sample log for the week of 04/17/24-04/21/24 for any one of the infants in care to complete the correction.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as her last mandated reporter training was completed in 2020 which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states she will take a new training at www.mandatedreporterca.org and send analyst a copy of her new certification by 05/15/23 to complete the correction.
Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as her most recent CPR/First Aid certification expired on November of 2022 which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to chldren in care.
Resolution: Licensee states she has an upcoming training class scheduled with an EMSA approved training provider and will send analyst a copy of the completed certification by 05/15/23 to complete the correction.
Based on analyst observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as fire and disaster drills with day care children were last conducted in 2021 which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: As licensee has no children in care this week, she states that she will conduct both fire and disaster drills with them when they return, document their completion on her log sheet and send analyst a copy of the newly updated log by 04/24/23 to complete the correction.
