Based on observation, the hall closet and the cabinet under the kitchen sink contained several chemicals (photos were taken) that were not locked/made inaccessible. Although these are not main child are areas, this poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee's son, Evan, placed locks on the closet and the kitchen cabinet today. Licensee states that she understands that anything that says "keep out of reach of children" is to be kept inaccessible to children at all times.
Based on file review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that she has not logged or conducted an emergency drill since April of 2022. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states that she will conduct and log an emergency drill by the plan of correction date and send a copy of the log to LPA for proof of correction.
Based on file review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that seven of the 18 children enrolled did not have emergency information/cards/LIC 700 on file which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states that she has all the emergency contact information but will have the families fill out form LIC 700 for each of the records that are missing them and will send copies to Licensing by 8/25/23.
Based on file review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that she did not have immunization information on file for either of the two children who were not school age which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee states that she will ensure the immunization information is up to date by 8/25/23 and will send copies to Licensing.
