Based on record review and interview, the last emergency drill was conducted and documented on 12/1/24. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated they will conduct a fire drill or earthquake drill no later than 7/3/25. The licensee will email a photo of the documentation to LPA via email by POC date. Email: Gerald.Poindexter@dss.ca.gov
Based on licensee’s statement, infant (C1) was allowed to sleep on cushions, and the available crib was not utilized. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
Resolution: LPA directed the licensee to the Safe Sleep website in the inspection report. LPA observed the licensee, and helper install the crib in the living room. Licensee states that moving forward she will use the crib for when infants in care fall asleep. This deficiciency has been cleared.
Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not possess and maintain the safe sleep log for 1 of 1 infants in care, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: LPA reviewed the requirement of the Safe Sleep Log with the licensee, who stated she will begin maintaining the logs immediately. Licensee will submit the sleep documentation to LPA by the POC due date and keep updated in the future. Email to Gerald.Poindexter@dss.ca.gov.

Resolution: Licensee will make sure that all children prior to enrollment have a complete file on record. Licensee was unable to provide file for C1 infant in care.
