LIU FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses an immediate safety risk to the children in care. During the facility tour the LPA observed a fire extinguisher that was not fully charged. The Licensee stated she used it for a project with her family and did not know if needed to be recharged. Licensee stated she does not have another fully charged fire extinguisher in the facility.

Resolution: Licensee understands a fully charged fire extinguisher must be present at all times during operation hours. Licensee agrees to ensure the facility has a fully charged fire extinguisher in the facility and send proof to the Department on or by POC due date of 2-4-2026.

Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. During the facility tour the LPA observed two children under the age of five and the facility stairs not barricaded.

Resolution: Licensee understands that anytime there is a child under the age of five, the stairs must be barricaded. Licensee will bring the facility back into compliance and submit proof to the Department or by POC due date of 2-5-2026.

Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential health risk to the children in care. During the file review of the Licensee the LPA was unable to review an EMSA approved CPR/1st Aid card.

Resolution: The Licensee understands CPR/1st training must be provided through an EMSA approved vendor. Licensee was advised to contact Resource & Referral for guidance on finding a vendor. R&R contact information was provided during the inspection. Licensee agrees to take an EMSA approved training and submit the certificate to the Department on or by the POC due date of 10-15-2024.
