HSIAO FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. Upon entering to the facility the LPA observed the master bedroom door open making the “Off Limits” area accessible to the children in care. The LPA also observed a child enter into the master bedroom looking for the Licensee. Lastly, the LPA observed two children enter the master bedroom several times with the Licensee.

Resolution: Licensee understands all “off limit” areas must be made inaccessible to the children in care. “Off limit” areas are areas children cannot with an inspection to ensure the area is in compliance with the Title 22 regulations. Licensee agrees to submit a written statement which states she understands the regulation.

Based on the record review and interview the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. During file review the LPA was unable to sleep logs for C1. Licensee stated she does not have sleep logs available for review.

Resolution: Licensee understands all children 24 months and under must have sleep logs available for review. Safe Sleep regulations were provided during inspection and discussed with Interpreter. Licensee agrees to submit a written statement which states she understands the regulation.

Based on observations, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as Licensee did not ensure a knife and multiple Lysol toilet bowl cleaners with bleach were inaccessible which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.

Resolution: Children were playing outside at the time of inspection. Licensee placed the knife and cleaners in locations that were inaccessible to children in care during the visit.
