YUPANQUI FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses an immediately safety risk to the children in care. During the facility tour the LPA observed an inflatable pool filled with water. The pool had a pool cover, however, the cover does not have required locks. The LPA also observed a child present who is able to open safety gates throughout the home which increases the risk to the children in care.

Resolution: Licensee understands all pools must be fenced or covered according to the Title 22 regulations or temporary bodies of water must be dumped after every use. Licensee agrees to read the regulation provided during the inspection, submit a written statement summarizing her understanding and a plan to ensure the facility remains in compliance. Pictures of pool and statements are due on or by POC due date of 8-28-2024. Civil Penalty of $500 assessed.

Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential Health and Safety risk to the children in care. During the file review for facility records the LPA was unable to review documentation of a fire drill conducted within six months. The last fire drill conducted was10-12-2023.

Resolution: Licensee understands a fire drill must be conducted at least once every six months. The Licensee agrees to conduct a fire drill with the children and submit documentation to the Department on or by close of business on 8-30-2024.
