GOMEZ FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that the licensee did not have cleaning compounds (clorox wipes)in a locked location per Title 22 regulation which posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee removed the cleaning compounds (clorox wipes) to a locked location at the time of inspection on 8/19/24.

Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that they could not provide proof of TB immunization for all adults in the home posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agreed to provide proof of TB immunization for the adult in home by the POC due date of 10/27/23.

Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet Infant Safe Sleep which poses a potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. Licensee stated there are no sleep logs for C1 and C4 for review during the inspection dated 02/01/2022.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to supervise and document the sleep of infants in care every 15 minutes beginning 02/01/2022 to POC due date.

Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet Operation of a Family Child Care Home which poses a potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. Licensee stated, the last fire drill completed was 12-10-2020 and there are no other fire drills available for review.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to conduct a fire & earthquake drill, document and send to the Department on or by the POC due date.

Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet Personnel Records which poses a potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. Licensee stated, she does not have personnel records for S1 and S2 available for review during the inspection.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to submit staff records for S1 and S2 on or by POC due date.

Based on the record review, the Licensee did not meet Administration of Child Day Care Licensing which poses a potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. The Licensee presented a mandated reporter training completed on 08/25/2018, which expired.

Resolution: Licensee registered for mandated reporter training scheduled for 02/06/2022. Licensee agrees to submit the certificate of completion for herself and two assistants on or by POC due date.

Based on observation, the Licensee did not meet Infant Safe Sleep which poses a potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. LPA observed C1 putting his foot over the rail of the play yard in an attempt to climb over and get out of the play yard. LPA brought this to the attention of the Licensee, Licensee stated "oh he can climb out."

Resolution: Licensee agrees to no longer put C1 in a play yard/play pen as of the inspection dated 02/01/2022. Licensee understands that all children who can climb out of the play pen or crib shall be placed on a mat during nap time. Licensee understands that no child shall be placed in a play yard/play pen unless sleeping. Licensee agrees to submit a written statement of understanding the regulations on or by POC.
