Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that the pool gate is not working properly, specifically the gate was not self latching, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee's husband fixed the pool gate to self-latch by the end of LPA's inspection. Licensee will send written statement confirming they are inspecting all the pool safety measures prior to the day care opening. Licensee will send statement to Community Care Licensing (CCL) by the end of the business day on the Plan of Correction (POC) due date of 10/07/2025.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that Licensee did not have a pool alarm in the swimming pool which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee stated they will purchase a pool alarm that they are able to place in the swimming pool and meets ASTM International Standard F2208. Licensee will not allow children to play in the backyard until LPA has completed visit to verify the correct alarm has been installed.
