CARDENAS FAMILY CHILD CARE

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that lime tree with thorns was planted in the backyard and is accessible to children in care which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated they will trim the plant and make the plant inaccessible to children in care. Licensee will send photos to Community Care Licensing (CCL) by the end of the business day on the Plan of Correction (POC) due date of 08/27/2025.

Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that S2 is an assistant and lives in the home but did not have tuberculosis clearance on file which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee agrees to send proof of S2's TB clearance to Community Care Licensing (CCL) by the end of the business day on the Plan of Correction (POC) due date of 08/27/2025.

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that Licensee converted their garage into a studio and did not have notify licensing of construction which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee will submit written statement confirming they have read and understand regulations pertainting to Alterations to Existing Buildings or Grounds. Licensee will submit written statement to Community Care Licensing (CCL) by the end of the business day on the Plan of Correction (POC) due date of 08/27/2025.

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that LPA observed one child sleeping in the car seat and one child in a high chair seat which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee removed the child from car seat and high chair at the time of the inspection. Licensee understands children are to be placed in the appropriate sleeping area/play yard when child falls asleep.
