Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that the jacuzzi had a cover without locking devices installed, rendering it accessible which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: During the inspection, a majority of the water was removed and licensee stated that they will send a photo of the completely empty jacuzzi to the San Diego Regional Office (SDRO) within 24 hours for review. Licensee also stated that they will install the attached locking devices on the jacuzzi cover within 30 days and notify the SDRO once complete.

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that medicines, cleaning compounds, and detergents were found accessible to children in the kitchen, dining room, and daycare bathroom, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: During inspection, LPA observed licensee make medication located on the kitchen counter and dining room table innaccessible to children in care. Licensee stated that they will make bottle of Listerine and sun block in the daycare bathroom innaccessible to children in care by installing safety latch on the daycare bathroom cabinet. Licensee stated that they will send the SDRO a picture of secured cabinet by 12/20/2024.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that poison was found in an unlocked shed located in the backyard, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Resolution: Licensee stated that they will install a pad lock on the shed containing poisons and send the SDRO a picture of secured shed by 12/20/2024.
