Staff forces children in care to sleep Staff handled day-care child in a rough manner. INVESTIGATION FINDINGS: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13During the investigation, LPA Zeron made observations, conducted interviews with Director and all other relevant individuals pertinent to this investigation. It was alleged that children's personal rights were violated according to the allegations listed above. During interviews with staff and children, Staff denied any inappropriate behaviors towards children. It was disclosed that there are two children that need more attention during nap time, teacher's will use different techniques to sooth the children, including patting, rubbing the back and head to help the child sleep. Staff also disclosed that there is one child in particular that responds in a positive manner to a more firm pat on the back, this is soothing to the child, according to staff. Children's interviews revealed that teachers are nice and that they like when teachers pat their back, some children did not understand the questions and were unable to give a stable response. Children denied being pinched by teachers or being forced to sleep. Staff interviews indicated that they have not been unfriendly towards children, nor have they witnessed other staff display unfriendly demeanor towards children. Staff indicated that children are not forced to sleep but will be given an activity on the their mat if they choose not to sleep.
