The UIR was received by the licensing agency on 1/21/2026. It indicates that a child was handled roughly by a staff member at the facility. During nap time, a staff member went up to a crying child and used their hands to quickly and forcibly change a child's posture from sitting to lying on their stomach. Facility records were reviewed, pertinent parties were interviewed, a self-report was reviewed from the facility, and video records were reviewed. Based on the information gathered, the following violations have been identified: a staff member handled a child in care in a rough manner. See LIC809D for cited deficiencies of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Div. 12. Section 101223 (a)(3). LPA Atherton informed Director Victoria Garcia that this report dated 1/26/2026 document(s) 1 Type A citation(s) which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is/are immediate risk(s) to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. Also, LPA Atherton informed the Director Victoria Garcia to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 1/26/2026 that documents any Type A citation(s) to parents of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report.
