Based on record review, the Center did not comply with the section cited above in 14 out of 17 signed in, and 3 parents did not, which poses/posed a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Based on record reivew, the Center does not have proof that fire drills are being conducted and documented at least once every six months. Not conducting fire drills could present immediate health and safety risks to the children.

Based on records review of facility files. Director Teresa Thomas and teacher Maria Tamacas do not have the required child abuse training mandated by AB 1207. This is a potential health and safety risk to the children.

Based on results received from the certified water samplers, the facility exceeded 5.4 ppb of lead in their water source. Once received, the facility took immediate and proper actions to remediate the fixtures. This poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

(1) A licensed child day care center, as defined in Section 1596.76, that is located in a building that was constructed before January 1, 2010, shall have its drinking water tested for lead contamination levels on or after January 1, 2020, but no later than January 1, 2023, and every five years after the date of the initial test.
