Based on LPA observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Upon arrival of the facility, LPA observed Licensee providing care for 11 children with no assistant present.This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee is to have a written plan submitted to the Department that outilines their plan on staying within capacity and ratio requirements, having staff available to assist with care should there be a need due to the amount of children being at the facility at one time.
Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, as today LPA observed two small blankets in the crib of Child #1 (Child #1 is approximately 27 months of age). This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Resolution: Licensee immediately removed aforementioned blankets from crib area during today's inspection when asked to do so by LPA. LPA advised Licensee that all cribs or play yards shall be free from all loose articles and objects. LPA reviewed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee and provided licensee with handouts. Licensee stated that she would ensure adherence to this regulation going forward. Deficiency cleared at visit.
