Based on records review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in two of two disaster drills, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The licensee showed the LPA a list of drill dates showing that the latest disaster drill was documented on 5/7/2024. The licensee stated she had not conducted one since then.
Resolution: The licensee stated she will carry out a disaster drill within the next 30 days and document it in the facility's chart. The licensee will send proof of completion to the regional office.
Based on records review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in two of two pediatric CPR-First Aid training certificates, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. The licensee showed the LPA expired pediatric CPR cards for each of two licensees in the license. The licensee stated the CPR had to be renewed.
Resolution: The licensee stated she will complete the CPR-first aid training and send proof of completion to the LPA by the due date.
Based on observation and records review, the licensee did not meet the regulation above in 2 of 2 licensees, which poses a potential risk to the health, safety, and personal rights of clients in care. The licensees mandated reporter certification was expired. A renewed cerrtification is required every two years.
Resolution: Licensee Esther re-registered to complete the mandated reporter training while the LPA was present. The licensees stated they would complete the training by the due date above and send a copy to the LPA by email.
